Vijay Subramaniam, founder of Collective Artist Network—which represents leading stars like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Yash, and Rashmika Mandanna—has come under fire after announcing a new project. On Tuesday, Abundantia Entertainment and Collective Artist Network revealed Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal, described as both “Made-in-India” and “Made-in-AI.

Bing Boar: Furthermore, actors such as Ranveer Singh, Pulkit Samrat, and Bhumi Pednekar expressed their excitement by liking and commenting on the announcement post, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap reacted sharply. Deeply displeased with the “Made-in-AI” claim, Kashyap appeared especially disappointed in Subramaniam, who also happens to be his close friend. Previously, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane had also voiced criticism of the move.

Taking to social media, Kashyap called out both Subramaniam and the agency’s roster of actors, writing:
Any actor or anyone who calls themselves an artist—and has a spine—should be questioning him or leaving the agency. He’s proved he thinks you’re no match for an AI performance.

Kashyap also shared a screenshot of the film’s announcement poster, highlighting Subramaniam’s name, alongside a strongly worded note. In it, he accused the producer of disregarding the very creators he represents by opting for AI-driven filmmaking.

“Congratulations Vijay Subramaniam,” Kashyap wrote. “Here is the man heading the Collective Artist Network that represents artists, writers, and directors—now producing a film made by AI. So much for protecting the interests of creators. At the end of the day, these agencies only care about making money off you. And since they keep choosing turkeys after turkeys for you, and you’re not making enough for them, they’ve decided to go all-in on AI.”
